As the newest member of Bates Insurance Group, I have been asked to share with you a little
about myself and insurance background. I began my insurance career more than thirty years ago
in the insurance company side, including several years as a Commercial Property and Liability
Insurance Underwriter, handling many different types of businesses. I also did on site Field
Survey Inspections for the Insurance Service Office (ISO, a National Insurance Rating Organization)
of both Commercial and Residential risks, and functioned in a Senior Customer Service
role for both Insurance Companies and Agency organizations.
It is my desire to bring my technical knowledge and expertise of Property and Liability insurance products and
services, including (but not limited to) Professional Liability and Bonds to my customers, in a manner that facilitates
my customers’ understanding of the coverage.
With a Bachelor of Science Degree in Corporate Finance from DePaul University in Chicago IL, a member of
three National Honor Societies in College, a Who’s Who in the Library of Congress in Washington D.C. of
Executives and Professionals, Graduate of Dale Carnegie’s Sales Advantage and the National Alliance of Insurance
Education and Research Dynamics of Selling, I am no stranger to paying full attention to details.
The very real and incredibly potent advantage of aligning myself with the Bates Insurance Group includes an
opportunity to mostly devote my limited time resource to the customer, where it serves it’s best value, and not
a Company Marketing Rep, Underwriter or Billing specialist.
As a business owner myself, I understand business challenges and bring a strong commitment to analyzing a
specific customer’s needs to ensure they are properly insured. "Services" is part of my business's name, and
